What do I get for participating?

You will receive a $100 Prepaid Mastercard® for enrolling your existing thermostat into Smart Advantage, or you will receive a free Sensi thermostat for enrolling your new thermostat into Smart Advantage.

Alabama Power Smart Advantage™ will provide daily thermostat adjustments (Monday through Friday) to help lower your energy bills from June 1 to September 30 and/or November 1-March 31 based on the electric heating and cooling equipment that you have. This program combines smart technology with the Residential Time Advantage Energy Rate (RTA-EO) to help you save. The Residential Time Advantage Energy Rate (RTA-EO) may help you take more control over your electricity use and save you money depending on your schedule and whether you can avoid using electricity at higher-cost periods.

The Residential Time Advantage Energy Rate (RTA-EO) requires that you remain on the rate for at least 12 months before switching to a different rate. Click here to view the terms of the rate.
